About this place
One of the pleasures of 横浜家系ラーメン 目黒 魂心家 is choosing how to season its pork-bone soup: soy sauce, salt, miso or black pepper miso. Soy sauce is the classic choice, meeting the depth of the simmered pork-bone broth; salt brings a sharper edge, miso a mellow quality, and black pepper miso a spicy note. The flavours let you take the bowl in a different direction depending on the day.
If choosing toppings feels harder, the 魂心ラーメン, named after the restaurant, is the signature option. Alongside a classic seasoned egg, it comes with both seasoned chashu and flame-seared chashu. Their contrasting textures and aromas make for an enjoyable comparison as you eat. For an even more substantial bowl, there is the 「631ラーメン」, topped with six sheets of nori, three slices of chashu, a seasoned egg, spinach and quail eggs. The 「のりWラーメン」 is another appealing choice, with extra nori to enjoy after it has soaked up the soup.
Beyond ramen, the menu includes 「濃魂つけ麺」 and 「鯛塩つけ麵」, both served with thick noodles; the former pairs a fish-and-chicken broth with the noodles. There is a broad choice of noodle dishes. Side dishes include 「ねぎ丼」, with finely shredded white scallions and sweet-and-savoury chashu, 「チャーマヨ丼」 and 「特製ぎょうざ」. They make it easy to put together a hearty meal.
With a calm interior centred on counter seating, the restaurant offers a comfortable setting for dropping in alone. It caters to late meals as well as lunch. The option to pay by transport IC card or various QR-code payment services is another practical convenience for an everyday meal.
